Photographer Finds Old Camera From 1907, Takes Jaw-Dropping Single Shots on 24-inch Glass Plates

He was raised in the mountains of northern Italy and worked 30 years as a director of photography filming documentaries for BBC, touring warzones and traveling the world. Kurt Moser has seen his share of excitement. Now he has returned home to Bolzano, north of Milan, to slow the pace with his new passion of taking ambrotypes—the root of photography itself—that developed in 1850.
