Ottawa, the capital of Canada, held an open audition for all Filipinos in Ottawa and neighboring cities for the Ottawa Pinoy Popstar on May 27, 2024, at Sandok Philippine Cuisine Taste of Pampanga. Jonathan Pantaleon, a resident of Montreal and the 1st runner-up of the FILCAN Idol of Montreal singing contest, went to Ottawa to audition to join the big production of Ottawa Pinoy Popstar. Jonathan Pantaleon sang "I Who Have Nothing" by Tom Jones a cappella. He's one of the Semi-Finalist on August 5, 2024.
