President Joe Biden has described a potential hostage deal involving Hamas as being 'very close' to being finalized. The proposed hostage exchange could involve around 50 women and children being exchanged for roughly 150 Palestinian prisoners. A ceasefire of 4-5 days is also said to be part of the deal. The Israeli government is reported to be voting on the deal on Tuesday. The South Korean military says North Korea appears to have made a third attempt to send a military satellite into orbit, highlighting the regime's determination to build a space-based surveillance system. It wasn’t immediately clear whether the launch was successful.
