‘New Sheriff in Town’: DeSantis Signs Bill Revoking Disney's Self-Governing Power

Florida Governor Ron Desantis on Monday signed a bill into law that ends Disney’s self-governing power of land around Disney World. “So Disney loses self-governing status. The state of Florida is the new sheriff in town,” said Desantis at a press conference. He also said that the state had created a control board to oversee the area.
