Ukraine Marks Independence Day Amid War

Ukraine marks its 31st anniversary of independence from the Soviet Union in the middle of its fight against the Russian invasion. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy vowed to liberate the occupied regions of Donbas and Crimea, saying Ukraine would not trade its land or its people. Ahead of his surprise visit, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson sent a video message in support of the people of Ukraine, echoed by Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer.
