IMPROVE YOUR COPPERPLATE | COPPERPLATE VARIATIONS X PAUL ANTONIO PART 7
Calligraphy Masters
0 Followed
@PAScribe - A little bit more of a detailed analysis on approaching these 17th century English Roundhand letters.
So much to look at and think about in executing them but also trying to not let my understanding of Copperplate and the nib I am using influence the nature of the letters.
Equally, a whole other order of shape variations for the tops of the A at the cap height. This alone can spawn a variety of shapes by minute alterations in the top, what I refer to as the Acute Curvilinear Triangle.
I’d love to hear you thoughts on what you have seen here.
This will be an ongoing series to help get you interested in the shapes we have in English Roundhand but also in the hopes that it will encourage you to do some historical research.
