Owner: California Trucking Law Hurts Supply Chain

A law that virtually bans truckers that engage in independent contracting will go into effect this week in California. It's called the AB5 law. The law will impact some 70,000 independent truckers. Companies are affected too; some businesses rely heavily on hiring independent contractors. This law could potentially put a huge number of people out of work. NTD spoke with Michael Kucharski, owner of California-based trucking company JKC Trucking, about the law.
