While doing the research for this video, we totally understood why there were so many comments on our channel with the request to make a video about this fantastic railway system. Together with the Swiss railways, for quite a long time the Dutch railways have been the best performer on the European railway scene. At least. Among other, we discussed the “logic” behind the development of railways in this country, some history that led to the formation of Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS), how the reform has been carried out, what are the most significant railway companies there, etc. But maybe the most interesting parts are the ones where we spoke about the unique tariff system, transport indicators and trends, maintenance of the network, amazing customer orientation of the Dutch Railways, punctuality, and of course the energy efficiency and Green deal. Ok, let’s not forget the cooperation of the Dutch and Japanese experts on the matter of high-speed rail developments! In any case, if you want to know more about this quite interesting railway system, check out our video, and don't forget to share your thoughts in the comment section! Enjoy! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Special thanks to our Patrons: David Brandon, Brendan McKeon, Linda Vainomae-Hoffmann, Andrew Saffrey, Myron York, Gerald Brady, Tim McKeoun, August Bigelow and Bill! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- - If you enjoyed this video, SHARE it with your rail-loving friends to help us raise our community, and of course, leave your opinion in the COMMENT section and hit the LIKE button. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- ► Stay connected with us on social media: - Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/RailwaysExplained/ - Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/railways_explained/ - Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/company/railways-explained/?viewAsMember=true #Trains #Netherlands #Railways
