Report shows North Korea testing nuclear reactor

Raymond Liu
Kim Jong Un may still be building up his nuclear arsenal, even with a potential summit with Trump just around the corner. A new report on Friday said North Korea began testing a nuclear reactor as recently as late February. Satellite imagery from just two weeks ago showed activity at North Korea's Yongbyon facilities. The reactor could be used to produce weapons grade plutonium, but Pyongyang already has enough material for multiple nuclear bombs. This comes after North Korea announced it was willing to abandon its nuclear program. And plans for talks are moving forward. Seoul began preparations on March 16 for a summit between Kim Jong Un and Moon Jae-in. That meeting's set for the end of next month. On same day, North Korea's foreign minister touched down in Sweden. It's a trip that may lay the groundwork for another meeting. There is rising speculation that this two day visit could have something to do with Kim Jong Un's invitation to Trump. Credit: Reuters
