Massive Snowball Fight Rages at Virginia Tech

A massive snowball battle was waged at Virginia Tech campus in Blacksburg on Monday, March 12. Part of an annual tradition, ROTC cadets clashed with the civilian students, hurling the chilling ammunition brought about by inclement weather on Monday. The university cancelled classes due to the snow and students showed up in great numbers for the skirmish. Founded in 1972, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University has over 31,000 students. It is also one of the six senior military colleges in the country with about 1000 cadets enrolled.
