Ebola hemorrhagic fever is a disease with a high fatality rate. It most commonly affects people and nonhuman primates such as monkeys, gorillas and chimpanzees. The fever is caused by an infection with one of five known Ebola virus species. Four of the strains can cause severe illness in humans and animals. The current outbreak in Congo is due to the Zaire ebolavirus, which has the highest mortality rate. Ebola is named after the Ebola River in what is now the Democratic Republic of Congo. The virus was first recognized in 1976, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

British actor Idris Elba made a surprise proposal to his girlfriend Sabrina Dhowre on Saturday (February 10) at the screening of his directorial debut 'Yardie' in London's Rio Cinema.

The actor, best known for his performances in TV series 'The Wire' and 'Luther', has reportedly been dating Dhowre since early 2017.

Elba, who was previously romantically linked to singer Madonna and British model Jourdan Dunn, auctioned himself off to raise money for an Africa girls charity last year by spending a Valentine's evening with the auction's winner.

The actor, whose father is from Sierra Leone, is one of the frontrunners to be cast as the next James Bond, the fictional British spy movie franchise.
