Duck Family Rescued by Police Amid Sydney Traffic

Cathy He
New South Wales Police officers assisted animal rescuers in saving a duck family amid heavy traffic in Woollahra, eastern Sydney, last week. Wildlife rescuers WIRES said a duck and her eight ducklings were on their way to Centennial Park. Officers were told not to catch the animals as the mother would likely leave without her children. They instead stopped the traffic for the family and eventually caught them near Oxford Street. The ducks were later released in Centennial Park. Credit: WIRES via Storyful
