Police and the Louisiana SPCA launched separate investigations after a video was posted to social media showing a man beating a horse during the Krewe of Oshun parade in New Orleans, Louisiana, on February 2, according to local reports. Kelsey LaBore said she filmed this footage on Friday after seeing the man kicking and hitting the horse as it appeared to refuse to move down the parade route. LaBore said she was concerned the rider could have seriously hurt someone by not knowing how to ride and control the horse. The Louisiana Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals said it was investigating the incident and was working to establish the identity of the rider in the video. WWLTV reported that the New Orleans Police Department was also investigating. Credit: Kelsey LaBore via Storyful
