NY Airport boardings climb and officials credit winter

Aric Chen
With storms and heavy snowfall during the winter, New Yorkers are constantly encouraged to fly to warmer areas for an escape. According to data released this week by Albany International Airport, the number of passengers between Jan. and Mar. this year increased by 1.5% compared with the same period last year. The main reason for the increase was this year's long winter and brutal snowstorms. American Airlines saw the highest increase this March, up 7.7% from last year. Southwest Airlines increased by 7.1%. ------------------------------- NTD TV Henry Yan reporting in New York
