Sun's magnetic waves video

2018-05-01 18:52
A new NASA video shows an active region of the Sun taken April 24-26th. The video shows tangled magnetic field lines swaying and twisting above the Sun when viewed in a wavelength of extreme ultraviolet light, NASA said. Charged particles spinning along the field lines is what illuminates them. No significant solar storm eruption occurred, but one may still happen. Credit: Solar Dynamics Observatory, NASA via Storyful
