Olympic Bronze medalist snowboards through the streets of Essex

Olympic Bronze medalist Billy Morgan snowboards through Essex, England on Thursday (March 1) with friend and professional skier, Paddy Graham. The 28-year-old snowboarder, freestyles on handrails and a footbridge as "the Beast from the East" covered the town of Leigh-on-Sea. Morgan was awarded the Bronze medal in the big air event at the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang. He was the first ever male to win a snowboard medal for Team GB. Much of Britain and Ireland were blanketed in snow as freezing Siberian weather dubbed "the Beast from the East" disrupted travel plans for thousands. Temperatures fell to minus 12 Celsius (10 degrees Fahrenheit) in some rural areas while Britain's weather service warned of up to 40 cm of snow in higher areas of Scotland. Credit: Reuters
