Shearers attempt to shave 2,500 sheep in 24 hours at French competition
Sheep shearers tried to shear more than
2,000 sheep in 24 hours.
This is the ‘24 Heures de la Tonte’, or
‘24 Hours of Clipping’ competition in France.
It started at 6 p.m. local time on June 8.
Two teams of 3 shearers compete to see
who can gather the most wool in one day.
They also aim to set a world record
in team sheep shearing.
They aim to shave 2,500 sheep, which means
about 50 seconds to shear each sheep.
