Ford dropping all but 2 cars from its North American dealerships

Celeste Li
Ford Motor Co. announced that it will only sell two car models at North America dealerships. CEO Jim Hackett said that the company will drop all other models over the next four years. Hackett said the two models will be the Mustang sports car and a compact Focus crossover. He said the move is part of a broad plan to save money and be more competitive. Models that will be dropped from North America include the Fusion, the Taurus, and the Fiesta. The cuts are part of a broad effort that is expected to produce $25.5 billion in savings by 2022. Ford will keep all of its other vehicles, including the popular truck lines such as the F-150.
