Arrest of Carjacking Suspect Caught on Video

Three women in a nail salon in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles smashed chairs against a carjacking suspect head while defending themselves on Wednesday, January 31. CCTV footage of the violent incident was released by the Los Angeles Police Department on February 1 and shows the dramatic moment the trio at Bio Laque Nails were caught in “an intense fight for their life” with the suspect, according to police. “The suspect punched the victims several times,” the LAPD said. “He also swung a chair and hit the victim until employees from a neighbouring business arrived and apprehended the suspect.” Police arrested the 25-year-old Gustavo Arando, who was also connected to a robbery and carjacking earlier that morning, following the incident.
