Daughter Saves 5 Dollar Bills for Over Three Years to Give Mother Wonderful Surprise

Petr Svab
Alyssa Hiple had been saving five dollar bills for three-and-a-half years in an attempt to give her mother, Amy, her dream gift—a trip to Italy. On Dec. 25, 2017, the Huntington, Indiana, mother received the ultimate Christmas gift and tears burst into her eyes. In a video posted to Twitter, Hiple says this Christmas she was finally able to make her mother’s dreams come true. The video shows her mother being led into a room by a trail of five dollar bills, where she finds a sign that says "Italy," a map of the country, and another sign saying "yes, we are going." Hiple can be seen smiling next to her mom, who starts to cry and embraces her daughter. Credit: Twitter/Alyssa Hiple via Storyful
