In the clip, which was filmed on July 6 off the coast of Long Island, the fishermen look on in horror as the huge mako shark writhes around on the deck of the boat with its body trapped beneath the guard-rail.
The shark even bites the rail several times at it struggles to release itself.
Eventually, the fishermen manage to cut the shark free and it slips into the water and swims away.
"We're gonna need a bigger boat!" joked Captain Don from Outlaw Fishing Charters.
